
I read an article this weekend that spoke to me. It was called, “No More Working for Jerks!”
Currently, U.S. unemployment is less than 4%; everyone seems to be hiring, and there are 3 jobs out there for every 2 people seeking work. Retention is key.
Be the kind of person people WANT to work for. Be fair. Be polite. Ask people to do tasks—don’t order them around. Don’t move the goalposts for success. Communicate well. Protect your team from unreasonable clients. Hire people who are both competent and nice to have around. Proactively address issues on your team before they snowball.
