Doing things right
We are statistically unlikely to get an overnight visit from three ghosts who will scare us into doing the right thing for our people. So we need to do it on our own initiative.
Make sure your people get the PTO or equivalent they are entitled to have before the end of the year. Give them end-of year bonuses that accurately reflect their efforts. Don’t hide the really tasty salted caramels that came in the gift basket to the whole office. You get the idea.
Be the role model of integrity that you’d like your people to follow. Be the kind of person you want your kids to become. Now is a great time to be the best version of yourself.
