Where Are We Going?

Sometimes we need to do the work, of course, but the role of a leader is more than the work. We don’t just need to cook the meal; we need to set the menu.

Make sure you look beyond the next deadline. Are there additional opportunities coming in the future? What do we need to start doing now to be ready for them down the road?

Communicate with your people about the opportunities. Get their buy-in. Help them to start visualizing how they can contribute and thrive as things get moving.
