When Sick, Stay Home
Walking the walk on sick days
I’m an overachiever and a mom. So, when I get a sore throat, cough, and low fever, my natural impulse is to just “power through.”
But in the age of Covid, that’s not the right thing to do. As leaders, we need to set the example for our people, and one of those examples we can set is: when you are sick, stay home.
So, while I am sick, I’m not going to, in the words of the Little Mermaid, “Be where the people are.” Even when it’s not Covid, it’s not okay to spread germs where people work. Now is a great time to set the standard—flu season starts soon.
If you are trying to reach me, I’m answering emails in batches, but otherwise out of the office today.
