Give people the courage of your example

Leadership isn’t about telling people what to do.

Don’t ask someone to do something you would be unwilling to do yourself.

That does not mean that you have to do everything, or that you have to do something you don’t know how to do—of course you should delegate skilled work to competent experts. But it means you do your part. It means you give 100%. It means you give your people the courage of your example, and the confidence of “Let’s do this together.”

Your example can show people what is possible. You can be a role model.

Go out and show them how it’s done.
