People want to follow someone who is going somewhere. As leaders, we can’t just put our heads down and push toward that next deadline all the time. If we do, eventually we stand up, look around, and go, “where the heck are we?”

As leaders, we need to spend some of our time focusing on the big picture. Think strategically about where you want your business to be in a few years. How can we set our metaphorical sails in that direction?
