Your people have been working hard all week.
How about finding a few minutes today to let them know how much you appreciate them and all that they do?
If you have individual or team meetings, make a 30-60 second effort to genuinely praise each of them for their accomplishments, for their good efforts, for their good attitudes, for their contributions to the team, for the things that keep the wheels on, for their technical excellence, for their help to more junior staffers, or for whatever you authentically value about what they do or who they are.
Tailor it to the individual. Praise the success when someone has a good week, but also make a special effort to bolster the confidence of someone who has had a bad week.
Imagine ending the week with the feeling that your boss appreciates you, respects you, and values you. Imagine taking that framing into a weekend in which you can recharge and come back energized and motivated on Monday.
YOU are the boss who can make that happen for them.
Happy Friday!
