Effective leadership instills courage.

Grow your people’s confidence, so that they will try. Praise success and praise good efforts.

Don’t punish people for falling short; encourage them to make things right. Teach your people that success comes from trying, and then trying again and again. If it was easy enough that people could do it right the first time, everyone would do it.
