Speak Truth to Power
If the people on your team are not being fairly treated by the CEO or one of your clients, then you as the leader need to speak up.
If you allow your people to be mistreated without speaking up, your inaction tells your people that either 1) you don’t care or 2) you are too ineffective to lead them.
Stand up for your people. Don’t let anyone treat them with disrespect, hostility, or threats. Don’t let anyone speak to them using derogatory sexist or racist language. Your people need you to have their backs.
