We don’t always know what is going to happen in our industry in the next few months or years.
It helps to plan for how you think it will go, but allow for course adjustments. For example, when we budget and schedule for our company for the coming year, we work with a range of expected revenue and client work—potential maximum to minimum. We can then adjust as reality reveals itself.
Plan for taking advantage of better conditions, and also plan for weathering disappointing conditions. Act based on the actual conditions.
