Your people need you. They need a lot from you. And one of the best ways to be there for them is to NOT drain yourself dry for them.
Set limits. Pace yourself. Practice self-care. Get enough sleep. Schedule project milestones well in advance, so no one has too many “crunch time” late-nights. Delegate to your people, and empower them to make more decisions—not every little thing needs your permission and approval.
Your people want you to walk-the-walk and give 100%. Give 100% during “work time,” but make sure that “work time” isn’t 100% of your life.
