Rules Should Make Sense
Organizations of people do better when they have shared understanding of the rules and norms. A great example is: “Label your food in the break fridge, and don’t eat someone else’s food.”
Make sure that you establish rules that help everyone coexist harmoniously. If there have to be specific rules (like the one in the image here), make sure people know the “why” of the rule. People are more likely to do their part when they see it’s for a good reason. You can save your team from a lot of drama.
