Respect and Dignity
Every person who works for your company matters.
You can look at it as a “yeah, let’s be good humans and treat each other well” thing.
You can also look at it as a “corporations like profit” thing. They are unlikely to keep a lot of people on payroll who are not adding value.
If the first point is not sufficient for you, at least rely on that second point.
Assume that everyone in your organization has value and adds value. Treat them as such unless and until they prove those assumptions wrong.
I’d rather be too decent to people than later realize I had not been decent enough. Wouldn’t you?
