Wow. I just saw this photo online this morning:
This is the pinnacle of leadership courage—standing up to protect your people, even when a literal Nazi holds a literal gun to your head.
It puts our own leadership into perspective, since this is not what we face in the workplace on a regular basis (hopefully). Since we are not experiencing anything near that scenario, it should be easy by comparison for us to advocate for our people’s needs—things like up-to-date safety equipment, healthcare benefits, flexible hours to deal with childcare, etc.
Notice also that more than 1200 of his people stood with him. That kind of loyalty is earned.
