Loyalty is a key factor in long-term leadership success.
If you want to build loyalty, make sure you are giving your best when you are asking your people to give theirs.
Don’t leave early when you need the team to stay late—you are part of the team, so you need to stay with them.
Don’t ask them to give a 100% effort if you only phone it in.
Obviously, you don’t need to do every job with them—we all have different skills and contributions to make as part of the team. But make sure you are matching the effort at your tasks that you want to see them give theirs.
