Make sure you are doing things that grow your competence as a leader and a professional. Walk the walk. Live your integrity. Give your people opportunities to grow and thrive. Validate their efforts and give them effective feedback. Build and maintain morale. Keep the wheels on. Celebrate milestones and successes.
Give your people what they need in order to say, “I get to go to work today!” instead of “I have to go to work today.”
