Surround yourself with smart people and encourage them to tell you what they think.
Respect your people’s perceptions—they may notice things that you don’t. Get their input on your ideas—they might say something that saves you a lot of time and/or money. If they want to try something new, encourage them to pilot the idea and see how it works—it might lead to a new revenue stream or more efficient process for the company.
