“Of all the things I’ve done, the most vital is coordinating those who work with me and aiming their efforts at a certain goal.” ~ Walt Disney
Effective leaders vector their teams toward the best outcomes.
Share your vision for what success will be—share the goal, and share how success can positively impact the team members, the clients, the company, the community, etc.
Balance the workload. Don’t just reward your top performers with more work. Make sure everyone is given the right tasks—those can be the tasks they already do brilliantly, or the tasks that build their experience and competence.
Plan with flexibility. Build in check-ins and time for revisions. Empower your people to develop their own processes, as long as they lead to high-quality final product that meets the client’s needs and works with the other components of the project.
