Inspiring Leadership
Self-change is difficult—just ask anyone who has ever made a New Year’s resolution.
But no one said being a leader was easy.
Consider the improvement you want to make. Develop a vision for what success will look like—that will help motivate yourself and others. Develop a plan for how to get from where you are now to where you want to be, and then run it by some people so they can look for anything you might have missed and/or consider more efficient or effective ways to get there.
And then walk to walk. Lead the change from the front. Be a “pilot study of one,” if that’s what it takes. Show people what is possible.
Many people are “meh” about ideas when they are told about them, but they may become more excited and committed when they are shown how a good idea WILL make things better.
