Halloween Work/Life Balance

Got kids? Today is a big day.

Enjoy the warm weather this year—kids won’t need to cover their costumes with coats here in New Hampshire (estimated high of 78° here today).

Make sure your team members who have kids are able to be there for their families today. Many years ago, a boss (whose kids were grown, so he wasn’t thinking about it) scheduled me for an out-of-state business trip with a full-day presentation on November 1st. I still feel sad that I missed one of those amazing years with my kids. Don’t do this to your team members.

And watch out for kids darting out into the roads today on your commute home.
