Focus
Some people love open office arrangements and collaborative environments.
But some people really, really don’t. The constant noise and motion around them make it hard to focus. If your team works in an open-office environment, make sure you provide space for solo work. In good office design, there might be some small rooms with doors that close along one side of the room that are big enough for 1-2 people. Encourage your easily distracted or overwhelmed-by-the-chaos folks to use these rooms when they need to concentrate. They are also great for phone or Teams calls that need privacy or a quiet environment.
And if your office does not have a setup like this? You’re the leader—see what you can do to make it happen. Your introverts and easily distracted team members will thank you.
