“Do it or you’re fired.”

May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'LEADERS DON'T FORCE PEOPLE TO FOLLOW THEY INVITE THEM ON A JOURNEY. SUCCESS ENTHUSIASM'

Most people know that they need to do work to get their paychecks. And most people accept the transaction of work-for-money, and they know that they need to hold up their end. But if your people are uninspired and unmotivated, most of them will just do the minimum they need to keep getting that paycheck.

Bring out more in your people. Help them see the meaning and purpose in their work. Help them develop a career path that leads to the success and fulfillment that they want from their work. Show them the possibilities. Show them that you value and respect them. Listen to their ideas and share some of yours. Build mutual trust.

An effective leader gives more to their people than just task-assignments and paychecks. And in return, they bring out more from their people than mediocre performances. Bring out the best in your people, and everyone will have a more successful and fulfilling experience in the workplace.
