Don't Be Bossy
The way that you communicate what you need people to do matters.
Don’t be dictatorial. Show them respect. Ask, don’t order. Say “please” and “thank you.”
Ideally, explain enough for your team members to understand why what they are doing matters. Let them understand how they are making a difference, or helping people, or making things better, or otherwise contributing something of value to the team, the community, or the world.
