If your business is not providing emergency services, you do NOT need people to be in the office. Give your people enough notice so that they and their families can get to a safe place. Don’t be the clueless boss who expects people to come into the office when there is an evacuation order, or to be able to work from home when there is no electricity or internet service. Take care of your people. They will remember that you prioritized their safety over profits.
And they won’t forget if you do the opposite.
