Don’t just speak to convey information.

Speak to people in ways that make them care. Include the “win” or how this helps others. Don’t just info-dump; ask for their input and suggestions. Be authentic—it’s hard to sell an idea unless you believe in it yourself.

Make them feel that you respect and value them. Give them your full attention and consideration when they are speaking.
