"Hot stuff coming through!"
In our house, we have a rule that, if you are carrying a hot pan off the stove or out of the oven, you say “Hot stuff!” or “This is hot!” or “Hot hot hot hot…” until you get it placed on the trivet on the table.
Too often, if we don’t let people know what we are doing, someone can get hurt. Make sure you are letting people know what is going on—it can prevent problems and help keep them from wasting time duplicating someone else’s work.
