Back to Work
But not if you have a fever
We are all coming back to work this week.
Last week had that awkward holiday scheduling, so the office may have been more deserted than usual, but this week, the kids are back in school and the adults are back to work.
Consider allowing or even encouraging people to work from home, especially if they or their kids are sick. We have Teams and Zoom and file-sharing—we know how to do this. And keeping the majority of your team healthy is worth it—there is flu and covid and norovirus (ick! Look it up) out there. An ill-timed sneeze in the conference room could take your whole team down for at least a week.
Don’t be the kind of boss who encourages people to come in and “be a trooper” when they are sick. Find ways to let them contribute their ideas and efforts, not their germs.
