You can’t control everything.
But we can control how we frame what happens.
“Ugh—this is terrible!” becomes, “We’re facing a challenge, but I know this team can handle it. We’re going to get through this together.”
Or “It will be all right in the end. If it’s not all right, it’s not the end.” (with a nod to John Lennon)
Or “When you’re going through hell, keep going.” (with a nod to Winston Churchill).
This is good for your own mental state. It’s also good for your people to see the leader is facing the challenge with a focus on the fix. Give your people the courage to keep going.
